Technology for every learning space from Crestron at BETT 2017

Visit Crestron on stand C419 at Bett 2017, ExCel London from 25-28 January 2017

22 Nov 2016

Crestron will be showcasing its smart solutions for universities and colleges at Bett 2017, the annual trade show for the education technology sector. Stand C419 will be the place to experience world-class technology as Crestron highlights the ways in which its solutions can facilitate learning and create advanced educational experiences.

Bett is set to open its doors to over 35,000 visitors from across the education sector from 25-28th January 2017 at the ExCeL Centre, London. Here, attendees have the opportunity to see the latest innovative technologies that inspire learning.

Crestron will showcase technology for every learning space by highlighting its solutions for distance learning, classroom breakout space, active learning interaction and lecture presentations.

Crestron’s stand will be illustrating the power of distance learning online through the use of capture and streaming technology (DM-TXRX-100-STR, DM-RMC-100STR, DGE-100). The simple to use CaptureLiveHD system from Crestron streams or records live lectures, including the presenter and the content. Recordings can then be distributed online, providing instant access for students no matter where they are or when they need it. This technology can help with distance learning or support absent students.

Also on display will be the tools required to create the ultimate learning experience from the simple HD-MD-400-C-E auto-switcher & extender which, when combined with Crestron’s Airmedia® presentation gateway, provides a cost effective ‘Bring Your Own Device’ (BYOD) solution, creating new opportunities for student collaboration.

AirMedia® allows multiple students to connect wirelessly and present their findings to the whole class using whatever source or format they choose - whether it is a PowerPoint®, Excel®, Word, PDF or showing images from their personal smart device - without any wires to connect to, and all in H264 quality streaming.

Crestron’s award winning 3-Series® 4K DigitalMedia™ Presentation System 50 (DMPS3-4K-50) will also be available for visitors to try for themselves. Using DigitalMedia™, teachers and students are able to stream 4K content, giving maximum impact to presentations shown in the classroom. The multi-format presentation solution works seamlessly out of the box with up to four Crestron Connect It™ Cable Caddies. If paired with Airmedia®, this system can also allow for simplified configuration using built-in Crestron .AV Framework™ technology, a platform which connects every visible device in a room on a managed network. This technology eradicates any "blind spots", which ensures a consistent user experience and maximum uptime which is vital in today’s connected learning environment.

“Using Crestron transforms the classroom into a dynamic learning environment that is interactive, collaborative and easy to use,” says Marc Poffley, Crestron Business Development Manager for Education. “As a world leading innovator, Crestron understands the needs for students, teachers and those working within the education environment to have access to reliable, simple to use and cost effective systems that will provide a fun and collaborative learning tool”.
